The ETSU library has a great selection of old knitting books. No new ones, with pretty pictures...but look at all those Barbara Walker books! And the one at the very top is Mary Thomas' book of knitting, an antique!
I was over in the library for my lunch break (I temp on campus) and I only got a quick look at a few. My favorite so far, is Knit to Fit by Ida Riley Duncan.
It's set up like a textbook with projects (so you build a portfolio) and ideas for having a knitting related business. Check out this advice on designing:
I have so many ideas of how I'd like to use this books, but I'm home sick (the flu? sinus infection?), I've only been able to knit a few rows at a time this weekend before dropping my knitting in exhaustion. However, it keeps my spirits up to know that when I'm feeling better, me and my notebook are going to go back and visit these books!

What a great stack of books you found. I am so jealous!
Ah, I love the library too... I need to check out my new local library.
(The knitting needles are soon to be unpacked and dusted off...I'll be in touch asking for some help with Angelicka soon if that's ok still)
Hope you feel better soon! At least you have some great reading. I'm very jealous!
Now those are some serious finds! :)
