Olympic day. I woke up thinking of 16 knitting-filled days. I already warned Hub, so when he snuggled up next to me this morning it went something like this
Me: uhn...knitting olympics today....
Him: huh? are you really that excited? (Note: he wakes up immediately, it takes me, like, 4 hours and a cup of coffee before I can form sentances this clear)
Me: yeah, have to knit all the time, you've been warned
Him: Does this mean I'll have more time to play video games...they'll be less "turn that off and lets talk"?
Me: sure, whatever...(waking up a little more) actually this just means you'll have to do more housework....
At this point I'm pretty sure he scoffed and decided instead to make this the Video Game Olympics. This is why we belong together.
On to the knitting:
This is the schematic for the front and back of the cardi (it's provided on the website)
Does that include the collar? Is it just knit strait up after you rejoin front and back at shoulder? There's no neck shaping here either....?
My friend has a sweater with this kind of collar and it just keeps going...no shoulder shaping...
Oh, and to clarify, the yarn I linked to yesterday is just the same color as the yarn I have, I'm actually using worsted(ish) weight yarn. My version will also differ from KH's in that the buttonband will be off to one side...I mean, it'll be assymetrical (I have the beginnings of a migraine and my words aren't working for me today). I'm sure I'll change lots of other things as I go along...I'm just using the picture as a reference for those of you not in my head (and a lucky bunch you are!)
I'm going home now to, uh, actually plan the sweater I'm supposed to knit in 16 days!
