Never knit for your mom!
I knit up the DiVe yarn (one ball) and my mom decided it was too "bright-ish". Which isn't really unreasonable, because, well, it is weirdly bright-ish. It has browns mixed in with neon pinks and yellows, so the bright spots really stick out. And she wanted something more autumnal (my word, not hers!)
So we found this:
Patagonia Nature Cotton, a beautiful soft 100% Cotton thick/thin yarn. And it's handpainted and has such a rich color! I'll have to take a picture of the hanks I have because the color is so different in each! I'll definately have to knit with 2 balls at once so it isn't obvious when I change balls.
More as the drama unfolds!

I love the color of that cotton. I also think the one you used sounds wonderful. Good luck with that project. BTW, thanks for coming by my blog and leaving a comment on your favorite things to knit.
