My self-designed cardigan!
The sleeves aren't finished yet in this pic, but it shows the color better than the other pictuers I have. Here's the finished front!
The back of my cardigan!
I am so freaking proud of myself, but I can't take all the credit. I adapted the top from Glampyre's boobholder and the lace is from the Spring Vogue....it was a lace scarf, but I like it better on my cardigan! If you're curious about the adjustments I made, just ask!
This is what's been keeping me busy...well that and swatching for my mom's sweater. We've decided it's going to be a basic stockinette crewneck with a seedstitch border. In order to figure out the numbers, I got The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns from the library.
Now the question: What to start on next?
--Hourglass Sweater (which I'll have to dye my Wool of the Andes for)
--My mom's sweater (which I need to buy long circs for)
--More silk sari bags to sell....oh wait...you haven't seen my silk sari bag yet? hmm...I'll have to take pics of it. I knit it right before I left for NYC and then never remembered that I haven't shown it off yet to other knitters!
--Undecided project for Manos yarn I bought in Boston (hotlava cardigan, maybe?)
--socks? (I'd need to dye my Dye-Your -Own from Knit Picks)
Or maybe I just need to buy the Thick/thin bulky that's for sale here
My first clothing design!

I just popped over from craftster. Wow, that is one gorgeous cardigan! Congrats on your first design :)
I am very, very tempted to ask for the adjustments you made to your beautiful cardigan ... but I am afraid that "the adustments" wouldn't be enough. I'd need a complete pattern.
Thank you for showing your creativity to us!
