Autumnal lunch

With 2 tests and a presentation this week, I'm barely beyond simple syllabals and simpler thought; the following written in my journal during my outdoor lunch break:

Sun shining on my face, crafty podcast in my ears
i reread my paper (due tonight)
Study a bit (also tonight)
took out my knitting (hub's sock)
A bee landed on my hand, walked the length from pinky to wrist, felt like kitty whiskers
(Kerouac says Metaphors are odious)
I swish my hand & the bee ascended.
Sunlight on my face,
Moves oh-so-slowly until leafy shade protects me
A gust blows a few leaves into a quiet celebratory descent.
One falls on my plate, meets my sweet potatoes
Golden soft potatoes and crunchy brown leaf.
