*Sigh* I had such high hopes when I joined the Sweater-a-month knitalong. Such hopes that I would knit 12 sweaters this year. These hopes weren't totally unreasonable, as last February (for the Knitting Olympics) I knit a huge jacket/cardigan in 16 days. And last September, I knit a sweater in a month. Heck, nearly all of my sweaters have been knit in less than 30 days!
So why is it March and I have yet to finish a sweater this year?
Probably because I decided to design one with an intricate (for me) cable panel. Actually 2 cable panels, one on each side of the cardigan front.
I'm very happy with how it's looking so far, but I can't believe how it's plodding along! I'm thrilled to be nearly ready to attach the sleeves (which are already finished), so perhaps it won't be but another week.
My next sweater was going to be another one I designed, but I'm still swatching for it, so it probably won't begin as soon as this one ends...perhaps I need an easy-knit interlude...any suggestions?

The colour of this cardigan is so beautiful, I saw it on Project Spectrum on Flickr, and had to follow to your blog.
I'm not a knitter, but it sounds like you're nearly finished to me, good luck with it! looking forward to seeing your next one too!
It looks great! So far I've started two sweaters this year, but not finished any. So you're not alone ...
I love that blue, it's very vibrant. If it's any consolation I've only finished one sweater so far and that was for a baby. Fingers crossed we'll pick up speed as the year goes on.
