Christmas wishes

Thanks for all the camera advice. I tried to fix the E/V shift (although it was at 0) but I can't make it low enough to really fix the problem. I'll call the manufacturer, but I've pretty much given up on it, since the rechargeable batteries bit the dust, it's using regular batteries at an alarming pace. I am aching with holiday picture ideas, not having a camera is putting a real damper on my holiday joy.
Another damper is the monstrosity that I'm attempting to complete by December 15th. I've promised myself no new sweaters until this one is complete and the total lack of variety is slowly sapping me.
I have noticed that at times like this, when I simply can't start a project and I have no time, this is when I'm most creative, internally. I came up with some great patterns while working 2 jobs and I'm currently overflowing with craftyness, now that I've committed to one project. Why is this? Is it the limitations that push me to think creatively? Or do I take these flights of fancy to keep myself from monotony?
Anyhow, to get out of the funk, inspired by Shari, I'm making a list of things I want to enjoy this holiday season. These things are always floating around in my head, but I hope putting pen to paper will call them into existence and give me the little extra push to partake in the spirit.

  • Make and give simple gifts
  • Create lovingly-made felt ornaments with Hub while relaxing with hot chocolate
  • Bake cookies (perhaps as a simple gift?) and decorate with obscene amounts of icing and sprinkles
  • Knit a Christmas stocking for my beloved
  • snuggle with my brothers while watching Elf
  • Get out the decorations with Hub and remember fondly when they were purchased/given (we both have our first baby Christmas ornaments!)
