Knits in action

No WIP picture for today, I didn't get a chance to take one before leaving the house this morning and by the time I get home it'll be dark.
So instead of WIP, I have some KIA shots.
Today was the first chilly day and, of course, the day they (and by they, I mean the men who keep drilling in the hallway) turned off the heat to install a new heater (which won't be on for weeks).
Luckily, I had some fingerless gloves with me.

Which prompted my boss (an elegant woman of 60ish) to wonder (aloud) why I would purposefully knit gloves with no fingers.

So that I can use my fingersBut why ?
Because I'm cold
But why would you take the time to knit something so...
I smiled.
And told her I needed them at my last job, taking hot pottery out of kilns requires dexterity and protection.
A lie.
I knit them because I like them, but that might be a concept she doesn't understand.
