- Last night I finished the sweater I started in April out of Malabrigo. I still need to decide on a trim and I don't have any pictures yet, but I looove it!
- I just realised the Holiday KAL I was in last year has started back up, and I've joined again.
- I decided to take the Photojojo challenge and I'm taking a picture a day for (at least) the next year. Since my Flickr account won't support that much uploading and Blogger is so sketchy with the photos it takes, I've started a blog specifically for those pictures. You can find it here.
- The job I've been temping at is coming to an end. Yesturday they interviewed people for the position and it's just in time because I am over it (which is why I keep blogging here). The problem: I don't have another job lined up. I've applied at some exciting jobs and some not-so-exciting jobs. I've contacted every library in the area and scoured the paper, Monster and any other lead. I'm plum out of ideas (and energy and drive) does anyone else have any ideas?

Just blog-hopping and not working, and stumbled across your site. I'll be back... I'm not quite brand-spankin' new at knitting anymore, since I've branched away from scarves and blanket squares and actually made a couple of kids' sweaters, with an adult-sized sweater slowly taking shape on my needles right now. Well, when I'm not typing.
Anyway. You're an inspiration... someday I'll make my own patterns. When I grow up. :)
Oh yeah... and as for jobs, how fast do you type? For many years I've had a part-time job as a transcriptionist, I earn between $20-30 an hour, so 6 hours a weeks keeps me in ... well, yarn, I suppose.
I can offer more info about how I got my job - it's with a very small company so unless you happen to live in Boston it won't help you directly, but you could adapt the method elsewhere. I'm pretty sure my profile has my email address - I have to run for now so I can't check.
Does you state have an unemployment agency? PA has one, surprisingly they have some pretty good jobs listed! Good luck
I want to see Malabrigo sweater... Want to see it!!!
I have no advice for the job thing. I'll be sending good employment vibes your way.
A pizza pillow?! That is adorable!
Does your area have a local Craigslist? I've found lots of things there, incl. part time and interesting work. Good luck!
Hi! I'm just passing through, but read your question about job getting... I got a job through Career Builder. I'm sure you're aware of it, but you didn't mention it specifically, so I thought I'd say.
Also, if there is a place that you REALLY want to work (or a type of place), check the place's website specifically. Sometimes, especially with smaller companies, they don't post their jobs anywhere except Craigslist (because it's free).
Another interesting and unique resource is your alma mater's career office. Often, they have listings for jobs that they want to give people that have graduated from your school.
Good luck!
