Amazing Lace

An intro for the Amazing Lace....in typical reality-TV style

Today we meet Tara and her teammate, a top of her own design. The first challenge for this young couple? Determining a name for the top (it hated to be referred to her as "Tara's Top", it argued that it needed a name of it's own.) After some wrestling with guage and needle size and a large change that shifted what was once a cardigan into a pullover they came to an agreement. The knitting would give no more trouble if Tara commited to it as an Amazing Lace teammate. Their relationsihp seems precarious even though Tara clearly needs a teammate and a spring top. The top chooses to be called Verdant Cables and Leaves, Tara refers to it as "the ole ball and stitch" (she sometimes fancies herself clever, although thelace says it finds her a bit annoying, if necessary)
Their relationship is clearly troubled and frought with fear of the unknown. Will they make it? Will they stay together? Will the Cables and Leaves be accepted for publication (this is Tara's ardent desire, while the top appears to not care)?

Other possible teammates?
Tara is considering the attributes of some other lace projects (the top knows it has a shelf life and tries to ignore her wandering eyes). The list of possible future projects includes
Flower Basket Shawl
Knitpicks Candle Flame shawl
Elann's Flickering Flames Skirt
Kiri

The possible suplies:
Leftover Zephyr lace, aprox 3.5 oz...enough for the Flower Basket shawlKnitpicks Alpaca Cloud, enough for Kiri or Flower Basket Shawl
435 yds/oz (28grams) of Alpaca Lace from Pureknits
Enough for Kiri or Flower Basket Shawl

The decision of a future project will be determined at a later date. For now, Verdant and Tara are ready to embark on the Amazing Lace!
Tune in tomorrow for your regularly scheduled blog.

Good luck going forward. Verdant Cables and Leaves, while prettily named, seems a demanding taskmaster, although from the evidence you seem up to the challenge!

Uh oh, can you stay faithful to the ol' ball and stitch? Sounds like you have a bit of a wandering eye...I'm just sayin'. :)
