Mail! I love mail!

Today I got my PS Handdyed Sockyarn Swap (we really need a catchier name than that!) yarn in the mail along with many other goodies-Hoorah!
Here we have a chocolate bar (my lunch, perhaps), some Stash tea (get it? Stash?), the sock yarn and some lovely stitchmarkers

What I love about this swap is seeing how different knitters work within the confines of a single color. For example, here are my partners green and my green side-by-side.

Both very green, but very different.
As soon as I set this yarn out to photograph, Andre jumped up and snuggled it (that's him behind the first picture). He exhibits classic yarnlusting behavior:
1.He became very protective

2. He gets a dreamy, faraway look in his eye as he contemplates future projects

3. Finally, he obtains some focus, and wants me to get the hell away so he can get his knit on.
(perhaps he crochets? That seems easier to do without opposable thumbs?)

I like to think he'll be making his own catnip toys.
