A big Thank You to Bethanie for the lovely RAOK: 2 skeins of Artful Yarns Vaudeville, a really neat striped merino knitted tubey yarn, a lovely (hand?)stamped card, and my favorite scent (coconut lime verbena!) in hand wipes (already in my knitting bag!)
Ok, the bad news first: Here is the final picture of this attempt of Jaywalker.
It's turning out too big...and the colors aren't really doin it for me. I pulled the needles out, and the yarn will probably become gift socks (my mom really likes it), but right now I need some socks! I think I'll be dyeing some in more me colors tomorrow and starting some more (probably with a guage swatch and on smaller needles). I did loove knitting them up, and I think that's why I kept ignoring the inevitable....
The Good News: My little brothers are actually knitting! Here's the 6yr old
and the 5 yr old pirate (he's gotta wear the eye patch for his sad little lazy eye).
How cute is that!
some cuteness to make up for yesturday's Fug!
