Listening to The Magic Numbers...have you heard of them? Very restful. Thanks for all the nice comments about my yarn! I got the yarn from the LYS that I painted it for. She also decided what colors she wanted and the names for them.
So the cardigan progresses (but it feels so. slow. all. those. stitches.) Last night I swatched a few borders and decided on corrugated rib, using the gray Cascade 220 and Big Kureyon. I tried to take a few pictures, but the colors are too dark to show up right...you'll see it once it's on there. The button bands will be P4, K2 ribbing. I so badly want to wear the damn thing, but I imagine that it won't be done until...sometime next week.
Mainly because I won't be taking it with me tomorrow when I go to Columbus to celebrate Jamie's birthday (it was Saturday, but she was out of town). It's just too big to schlep around with me. Which is just as well, as I'll focus on my mom's b-day gifts (hers is the 29th).
I'm so excited about seeing Jamie! I'm researching yarn shops in Columbus, as I hope to drag her to as many as possible (she knits now too, you might remember, so maybe she'll drag me).
Tune in tomorrow for pics of her gift!
