I love today

Ok, I'm totally in love with my handpainted self-striping(ish) yarn. I love it so much I can't put it down, I can't stop knitting with it...I can't stop looking at it! I want you to be in love with it too..but first I need to show you a good picture of it.

But wait...that's natural light, but you cant see the bit of purple in it. Here's one in the kitchen (both natural and florescent light)

Well, it looks a little greenish there...here's one in a soft light

Oh wait, too gray!
Ok, so m aybe showing you the yarn in every possible light isn't the way to get you to love it. All the same, I'm quite happy. (The pattern, of course, is Jaywalker)
But that's not all! I had my meeting with the LYS today and it was...fantastic. I went home with some yarn to dye (It'll be on sale next weekend..wooo!) and...a new job! The main employee quit Wednesday night without warning, and the owner offhandedly asked if I wanted another job. Uh, at a yarn store? Of course! I've been looking for a way to spend less time in the studio (and enthralled in the drama of it all) and this is perfection! I'll be working Thurs, Fri and every other Sat (the one's Hub works). and there's a 20% discount! wooo!

wow! how fantastic is that!? good for you for taking a risk and putting your art out there. and then the synchronicity of bringing your work in just when they need a new employee? yeah...awesome.

your yarn is truly beautiful.
