Ok, so D's hat is all knitted, I just need to sew on the dino spikes. FIL's scarf is more than half done and because it's in garter stitch, I can only knit it while interested in something else (like while watching The Chronicles of Narnia tonight!)
So the question is, what to do next? We don't have a gift for Grams yet...but I probably won't see her over the holidays and I'm thinking of painting a travel mug for her at the studio, with a verse about God wathcing over her travels (she goes back and forth from TN to OH every coupla weeks). It's either that or some slippers out of yarn I dyed.
Or, I could make a felted bag to put my mom's Christmas gifts in.
Or, I could start on the b-day gift for my mom (it's Jan 29th).
Or, I could knit myself a scarf and hat because I need 'em and by the time I get done with January's b-day gifts, I'll only have 1 cold month left!
Or, I could start a cardigan, again with the cold weather.
You know what? I'm frozen by indecision because I know I can rely on you, dear friends, to solve this problem for me!
Now, I'll have lots of knitting time the next coupla days (Hub has a 4 day weekend, so I took the time off too), so one of us needs to make a decision by tomorrow!
Let me know in the comments why you chose what you did!
What to do?

I'm going with knit for yourself, and I'd say a hat and/or scarf. They're quick, so you'd still have time to get to the January birthdays, but you'd have gotten something "necessary" and for-you, which is always a big plus in my book (am I self-centered????) - it motivates me to knit and be happy.
One question--how many things do you have that you knit for yourself (and kept) in comparison to how many gifts you've made for others? Be good to yourself.
'Nuf said.
Knit for yourself! You deserve a present too!
I feel your pain! Good luck with your decision
