santa hat cuteness!

Here are the cute santa hat ornaments/gift tags! The closest is for D, out of the yarn I used for his hat. The 2nd is for MIL out of KnitPicks Crayon. The trim is Lamb's Pride. They each just took 1 hour! Stella decided you needed a kitten for scale.

Pattern, you say? Here we go:
You just need some yarn and appropriate dpns.
CO 3 sts, divide evenly across 3 dpns.
Row 1:Kf&b each st. (6 sts)
R 2: Make a loop (or don't, but if you do, you can easily hang it up!) and then K all sts.
R 3: Kf&b each st. (12 sts)
R 4:K all sts.
R 5: Kf&b of the first and last st of each dpn.
R 6: K all sts.
R7: K all sts.
Repeat rows 5 -7 until it's the size you want.
Join any white yarn ( I like Lamb's Pride because it's fuzzier than the other yarn I used.)
Purl 3 rows. BO. Make a pompom and attach it.

Andre thinks this is an excellent use of the hats!
(if you make these, let me know! Send me the pictures or link to them in the comments!)

The hats are so cute! Your kitty must feel so "feline" right now.

I love it, I am going to make one for each of my cats! Maybe I'll add a little tie for under the chin...ohh they are not going to like this...but I sure am!
