7 things

Because Tuesday is for lists, I present this meme. Sedie (My SP gifter!) tagged me, so here we go.

Seven things to do before I die (not in order of priority)
1. Support myself doing what I love
2. Figure out how to do that exactly!
3. Raise a child with my husband
4. Travel extensively in France
5. Obtain my PhD
6. Publish a knitting pattern (in Interweave Knits or a Melanie Falick book)
7. Maintain my friendship with Jamie and my roomies

Seven things I cannot do:
1. Go more than a few days without knitting
2. Go to sleep angry
3. Remember I have something in the oven
4. Knowingly hurt Jay
5. Fight with Jamie (in 10 yrs of friendship, we've never yelled!)
6. Ride a bike with confidence (although I'm quite handy with a jetski)
7. Give up on on the idea of having my own business

Seven things that attract me to my spouse:
1. His sense of humor/silliness
2. His commitment to creating a strong, healthy relationship
3. His gentle nature/sensitivity
4. Despite being SUPER laidback he can get so passionate about what he cares about
5. His appreciation for history (both global and personal)
6. His eyes
7. He has absolutely NO ambition for me...I thought I'd be with someone as driven as I am, but I realise now that I can't take that kind of pressure. When I'm unsure of what I want to do with my life, I get worked up that I'm going to do nothing, or fail at something...and he assures me that even if I never do anything AT ALL, that's fine. However, if I want to invest all our money and time into my dreams, he's fine with that too. His support is really spectacularly infinite.

Seven things I say most often:
1. "love you!"(to my family and friends, not just anybody)
2. "So,"
3. "grrrr"
4. "I'm very sorry you're unhappy, what can we do to remedy the situation?" (at work, and occasionally sarcastically to Hub)
5. "oh thanks! You're my favorite!"
6. "totally!"
7. "SHH! I'm counting stitches here!"

Seven books I love:
1. I know it sounds cheesy-but, The Bible
2. 501 French Verbs
3. The Anne of Green Gables series
4. Mere Christianity, by CS Lewis
5. The Red Tent
6. Sex, Drugs and Cocoa Puffs
7. Paroles, by Jacques Prevert

Seven movies I watch over and over again:
1. Wayne's World
2. Singing in the Rain
3. The BBC's Pride and Prejudice
4. Clueless
5. When Harry Met Sally
6. Amelie
7. Elf

Thanks for doing the meme. I know just what you mean about not being able to give up on having a business of your own! All the best. It was nice to get to know just a bit more about you.
