Guilt and Justification

After knitting 3 fingerless gloves in 3 days

(quite sucessfully-just look at that proud Father in Law!)

and finishing Josephine,

I decided I needed something for myself :

Well, the Sockotta is a going to be socks for my Mom, but all the rest? Yeah, that's my winter knitting, all right there.

  • Blue Cascade 220 for the Perfect Sweater (I really need some simple pullovers, I tell myself).
  • Gray Lamb's Pride Worsted (2 skeins)
  • Gray SWTC Karaoke (2 skeins)
  • Gray Cascade 220
  • Pink Manos Del Uraguay to finish Hot Lava (not pictured, because it doesn't count, since I had to get it in order to justify the orignial purchase of the yarn on my trip to Boston)
All the grays will be a cardigan (which I need!). I think I'll do a topdown raglan, with the Karaoke (which is softly self-striping) on the shoulders, slowly shifting to the Lamb's Pride and trimmed in Cascade 22o.
Enough justification--I don't need this guilt from you, you know you're slyly planning your next yarn purchase!
I won't be starting any of it until I finish with Christmas gifts anyhow, and I needed some encouragement to get that stuff out of the way lovingly pour myself into those projects (because the holiday spirit of generosity just wasn't doing it for me)
I hope to post a finished Josephine tonight as tomorrow is the official due date.
