KIP roundup

I have to admit, I've spent so much time at Ravelry, I darn near feel like I've already blogged this.
I have to do this every once in a while, round-up all my knits and decide what's staying and what's being pushed back into the closet. I always tend to get this ennui about my knitting in the summer months and vacillate between casting on new projects, finishing old ones and just generally being wishy-washy. This results in very little getting done. Thus summer my knit-ennui combined with my crochet passion has resulted in very little knitwear but plenty of useless granny squares and many rows on the never-ending ripple blanket.
Despite all this, out of the blue, I picked up the Shetland Triangle and took off in a whirlwind of rekindled passion:

Nearly finished Shetland Triangle
I believe it'll be a gift for my darling step-mother, who initiated my coming trip to visit her and my father and helped us bridge this weird-family-weirdness we've been mired in.
I expect it'll be finished in the next week! (after only 9 months on the needles...)

Realizing that the Dulaan deadline is drawing near, I cast on for a Baby Surprise sweater

Baby Suprise nearly done
More details when it's finished.

I have three socks-in-waiting:

Red Sox
Hub's Red Sox Socks, lost a US0 and put it aside (socks this big are BORING!) but just initiated trade on the Knittyboard for some replacement needles.

Wool in the Woods sock, 1 done
Mom's Wool in the Woods sock. Finished one and am just not in the mood for a second. The pair will probably be a Christmas gift, so I've got the time!

knee high sock from Scout's Swag

Kneehighs in Scout's Swag...realized I would run out of sock yarn and stopped short...I got some KnitPicks gloss for toe and heel...I could do them toe-up and would have enough, but I just can't decide...maybe I'll make Monkeys or Sidewinders instead?

I've really been craving a big sweater project, but all contenders have been defeated. Maybe I'll just make it a lace shawl summer and return to sweaters in the fall...
