The odd thing about keeping a knitting blog is that, so often, in taking the time to think through and write about how I feel about my knitting, I work through it and past it. And the next day, that previous blog entry isn't even true.
Like Friday, when I said I wasn't interested in my blue cabled cardigan: Not True! I spent the rest of Friday night gleefully cabling and decreasing away (for the yoke). I even stayed up WAY past my normal bedtime and couldn't put it down until 3 am! I left it next to my bed and Saturday morning, even before my first cup of coffee, I finished the yoke and bound off the collar!
After a couple of hours on the cuff, I was ready for blocking!
It's still damp, but hopefully it'll be off the towel and on my body by Tuesday morning.
All that and I even have a matching mug: 30 cents at Salvation Army.
There was a set of 4, but they were all so badly stained, I just bought one until I found out if it could be cleaned up. And much to my surprise, All of the stains came out with just a bit of hot soapy water! Off to get the last 3!
In the same thrift store outing, I found this fantastic sweater for yarn recycling (I'll dis-assemble the sweater and skein the yarn for my own knitting).
$3 for 90% wool/10% cashmere blend: yum!
Now just to decide if I'll leave it as is, or dye it darker (it's a green/gray blue)...

Oh, great finds! I just love that mug! Perfect for this month's PS too ;)
I'm way behind... so congrats on the perm. job! And getting your yarn sold elsewhere! And I'm with you on the uninspired thing sometimes. It's amazing what happens when you give yourself permission to do what you want!
