I have been remiss in gushing over my many Christmas gifts. Hub gave me two "vintage" knitting books (found at the used book store for under $5/ea!):

This one is signed by the author!

My mom, well, my mom is fantastic! She gave me...28 ozs of white Merino roving. I haven't photographed it, because, well, it's a big pile of softsoftsoft wonderfulness but it just looks like a white puffy cloud. I have no earthly idea about what I'm going to do with it (other than spin and knit her something in gratitude!) and I'm currently taking suggestions. It's easily enough to spin and knit a sweater from, with enough left over for a shawl, but for now it's next to the desk for easy pet-ability.

Speaking of photographing, Mom also got "us" a camera for Christmas (Hub has no interest in photography unless he's catching me in my robe, hair disheveled, pre-coffee growl on my face). It's a pretty wonderful camera (Nikon Collpix L3) but it's definately taking some adjustment. I've actively sought this re-education by taking walks around, camera poised and by restarting my photo-a-day blog here.

(the photos throughout the entry have nothing to do with the text just pictures that haven't made it onto the photoblog.)

Great gifts :) Are you the same person as on the EZasPi yahoo group who got the 28oz of roving?
I have no idea about spinning, so I don't have any idea about you could do with it LOL... I don't even know how much it looks like or anything :)
Cheers Eva - PS those pics are looking good :)
What wonderful vintage books!
