A plethora of imagined hats

Despite my grand idea yesterday, I actually didn't knit any hats last night! Instead, Hub and I got out the scissors, paper and buttons and started the assembly line of making 30 mini-button wreaths (not mini-buttons, but mini-wreaths). We're putting the small wreaths on the cover of blank cards, signing "Merry Christmas" and calling them gifts/ornaments/cards for the extended family (all those aunts, uncles, former roomates, etc.). We're being very laid back about it, so it took most of last night to just cut out the cardboard and to gather supplies.

So, no hats.
However, I am not dissuaded from my grandiose hat-concept. I took the time before leaving work to become hat-inspired, in case I have a chance (between hot-gluing buttons) to knit a hat or two this evening. Here are some of the patterns I hope to knit this week:
My hope for this Saturday's Christmas party is to actually arrive with a basket of 10 hats, so that the 6 kids have a selection and the extras can be sent to Dulaan. Considering the wealth of fun hat projects and the affordability (most only take 1 skein!) of knitting them in spades, this might just be my go-to project for holidays and birthdays. I'll be the woman who shows up at family events with a basket of hats for all to choose from with the extras going to charity.
4 days left, 10 hats to go!

Wow! That's quite a goal. Good luck. It sounds like a great idea.
