Tomorrow's my first day of being on my own at my new job. People keep asking me if I like it, or if I'm excited....Honestly, I'm just not sure. Here's why:
Pros:
- 5 minute commute
- Most of my tasks are self-directed, the boss just wants updates
- Allows for creativity (I'm responsible for the website: making pages, updating, etc)
- Encourages further education (free tech classes!)
- Most days have flexible schedules
- The position is being audited and will soon be upgraded!
- since the job isn't easily definable, I have a lot of freedom to "create my place" (their words)
- Long hours some days: went in 6:30am and got off at 6pm (too tired for complete sentences)
- The boss is pretty picky
- The person who had my position was very...proactive and made things her business that weren't really, the boss loved and hated this (it caused tiffs, but got a lot done) and I'm not sure I like that
- General uncertainty regarding expectations, lots of euphemisms are used (use your strengths, create your position) and it makes me a bit queasy
- When I do leave for the evening, it's almost too dark to take pictures! (this is really a problem with Daylight Savings)
Knitting/Spinning content returns tomorrow, WIP Friday

Hope everything goes well! : )
Here's hoping everything goes well for you. Don't worry about talking about it, you have a lot to think about right now!
Jessica
I'm with you about picture-taking. I get home at around 6 each day, so I've been forced to take pictures in the morning before I leave, or I have to wait until the weekend. Bah!
