I'm feeling a bit dodgy and grumpy right now; after a long drive, finding out I'll not be suprising my friend until tomorrow, and having a mother-in-law that keeps calling (3 5 times now) to see if we're home yet, despite us calling and leaving her a message to that affect and we told her (before) that Hub's at work and I'm out of town with my friend. And yet...the phone keeps ringing and I am not picking up. I hope to have a quiet night alone with some TV movies, the kittens and my knitting.
But before the phone started ringing, I was going to cheer myself up with some Thanksgiving highlights:
The men standing around, teaching themselves to play a mandolin
Grandma, picking it right up (though she had never seen one before) and showing them how it's done while leading a sing-a-long of old-timey gospel (God, I love this family)
Playing light sabers with 4 yr olds
Teaching 3 eight year old boys how to knit.
