Frustrations (let's just get this out of the way right now):
- Why can't I see the blogpoll in my last entry? Where did it go? What are the results?
- Why haven't I heard back from the job I really want?
- Why can't I just enjoy my last few days at the temp job? Why all the extra work?
Things that are making me happy (in no particular order):
- Tomorrow's my last day here! Ha! Hoorah! Expletive!
- I'm getting free yarn in order to knit a pattern for publication this weekend!
- I finished Backyards Leaves last night, I'll sew it up tonight
- I knit, in two weekends, fingerless gloves to match my new scarf!
- My new Saturday noon knitting group
Things that are surprising me:
- You people wanna see me sweat! You love the Christmas drama! What other explanation is there for the overwhelming support of me spinning and knitting my mom's Christmas gift?
- How much I look foward to the idea of unemployment, how the designing ideas are bubbling to the surface, how the world seems inviting and snuggly and welcoming to the newly unencumbered me.
- How chilly it is!
- I've been feeling so bake-y lately: last week I made a tasty root vegetable pot pie, 2 apple pies and this week I plan on cakes and casseroles and maybe a pot roast.
- All the great pictures I've been taking. I love going through them each night and choosing the best to post. (I'll be posting some that didn't make the cut here this weekend)

Ugh, I'm with you about temping... I've been temping at this law firm for at least a month, and they still haven't found someone permanent! It's great to have a steady paycheck but at the same time it's sucking the life out of me. Here's to your last day!

Best to you in this transitionary time - sounds like you're excited and motivated about the changes. I'm sure you'll find some worthwhile and rewarding employment (with just enough time to make mom something yummy).
