I'm back at work full-time, another temp job.
This, after the a wonderful, meloncholy, beautiful, silly, exhausting weekend with my 3 college roomates.
(be kind, it's first thing in the morning)
I didn't know what to expect. I had no reason to worry: we had a lovely visit. The one who lived in London for the last year drives across the country next week.I miss her already.
In anticipation of this cavalcade of emotions, I knit a comfort shawl.
From all my comforting yarns:
and more handspun (the light blue is alpaca, the first fiber I ever bought), the green/blue yarn is my very first yarn, spindle-spun and the bit at the bottom is Birthday yarn from Hub (DiVe), from 2 years ago.
Birthday yarn from my London-living friend (she bout it at Loop-Rowan Biggy Print) in a twisted drop stitch pattern.
It is, in fact, comforting, and I see many more in my future.

What a lovely shawl, and it does look rather comforting.
Love your shawl! It looks so comfy and I adore the colors : )
Such prettiness! It would go really well with the necklace I just ordered....
