It probably started months ago, when I saw Knitty's Very Tall pattern. I had a friend in college that always wore garters, and I enviously wanted that chic sophistication. I still don't own a garter belt, but I was reminded of that earlier infatuation when Lolly posted about the lovely IK knee socks. Grumperina didn't make it any better with her fabulous color work socks. And Cara, how she ranted and raved.
It was clear that the time was now. I needed kneesocks.
I decided to very loosely use this pattern and after searching for the perfect yarn, decided to order some from Scout's Swag (more about that next week, I'm preparing a full-on review of the yarn and experience). She got the yarn to me in record time and I cast on last weekend while visitin my family.
Here it is in the car, at the end of the 6 hour drive to Cincy.
Here it is in the car, at the end of the 6 hour drive to Cincy.I'm leaving for South Carolina tomorrow to visit my 3 fabulous college roomates. I'll be driving myself, so they'll be no car knitting, but there will be yarn shopping-I've found three stores in Asheville that I can't wait to stop by!
