Remember my obsession with the lowliest of knitted objects, the bathroom bathmat?
I got all obsessive (and caused some visual seizures) here.
It didn't take a lot of work (or thinking or planning) and was perfect for knitting while waiting; in the car, on the couch, at the computer.
Straitfoward squares: 2 balls of blue Sugar and Creme, 2 balls of red, 1 ball of orange. Cast on 30 stitches. Knit 28 garter ridges (to account for the stretching of the garter stitch. Whip stitch together. Crochet around border.
Voila. A bathmat. No need for Photoshop, no need for obsessions.
Despite the bad lighting in the bathroom, it matches perfectly.
And it makes getting up early in the morning, every morning, much much brighter.

I love the colors.
It matches your shower curtain perfectly!
Hey Tara,
sorry to see the beetle has a broken wing but don't despair I'm sure it will be fixed soon. Been to Lindy's loft for some shopping. Miss you much. Have a new blog site now.
I knitted the MD log-cabin bathmat (absorba) for my boyfriend - I never thought I'd knit a rug, but by golly, I did - and I loved it. May your rug bring you similar love.
