So it occured to me today that everything I'm currently knitting, except the car-sock (a sock I keep in the car for when we're running errands or I have to wait somewhere), is a secret. I can't tell you about it or post pictures about it. I'll also not tell you if it is because I'm knitting things for possible publication or because I'm knitting for my dear friend Jamie, who, even though I warn her not to read, does. (Last Christmas I had to totally rethink her Christmas and Birthday gifts because she is a peeker.) But you don't know that I'm knitting for her, I may be knitting some other secret, right?
So I'm knitting on something secret and I want something else to work on, because this (or these) secret thing(s) is(are) not all that exciting.
So I joined the Mystery Stole knit-a-long. I printed out the first chart (which is GI-normous!) and although it's turning out nicely for other people...it's just too fancy for me. I thought a stole might be more wear-able than other shapes of shawls, but this one looks so...fancy. On top of that, I haven't dyed the yarn yet, because I have NO idea what color to make it.
So (and I'm using that word a lot tonight), I think I'm not going to knit the Mystery Stole, and instead make another Pi or perhaps the Flower Basket Shawl?
Any opinions?
