Quilty inspiration

I am seriously addicted to quilts.
Not quilting mind you (I still haven't figured out my antique sewing machine, heck, I haven't even tried!)...but quilts. Denyse Schmidt, Gee's Bend, and the quilt books I've found at the library (I love my new library!).

I'm not sure if I plan on actually quilting, or if I'm just absorbing all this and will show itself in my knitting.

I don't like it...but I liked knitting it! I think my colors need to be closer in tone in order to really look right in this style. I'm trying a few different squares...I'm picturing a blanket in varying shades of greens and a few yellowsa reflection of the surrounding mountains.

Those quilts do look very inspiring. I used to be one of those people who thought knitting blankets was silly - and now (partly in thanks to the mason dixon girls) I have so many plans and ideas. I look forward to seeing how your efforts turn out!
