And why would I be so excited about the Australia's national bird?
Perhaps because it's also the name of my new spinning wheel!

My first yarn...
I cannot express how excited I am about this wheel-and it's such a suprise! On Monday I asked my Mom is she wanted to go with to Fiberworks to pick out some dye. She went and while we were there, bought the wheel! We went back Tuesday to put it together and get a quick lesson and then back again yesturday for a real lesson. My mom has shown an interest in learning to spin, so it's at her house until Tuesday....and then it's all mine! YAY!

Came over here via Flash Your Stash 2006, just thought I'd point out that the Kiwi is New Zealand's national bird, not Australia's. We don't actually have kiwi birds in Australia ;)
