Project Spectrum

So, I'm a joiner. (Actually, only in the blogosphere, in real life, I'm annoyingly independant and scoff at all in fratertanities, so much so that I never learned to spell the word...and I love spelling, so you realize this is a big deal).
Anyhow, because I love all things Lolly and I love color (especially on dull, gray days like today) I joined Project Spectrum
Image hosting by Photobucket
and the corresponding Postcard Swap.
It officially began yesturday, so I'm making my Project Spectrum Declaration:
I'm going to use the Project to be inspired in my dyeing. I'm going to explore the possibilities in the monthly colors by looking for them around me, in nature, art; take note of how they're used in fashion, how they pop next to some colors and slink next to others. I find that I tend to dye the same shades, in the same ways and I want to get away from that, to be inspired and daring, to create things outside of my normal (blue/gray) knitsphere.
I also want to knit with at least one of my own yarns each month, because I don't do this enough. I have few knitted samples of my yarn, and NO test knits for the patterns I've developed. I really need this for my website, but I want it to be inspirational, not just work, ya know?
I bought some blank postcards yesturday (hi pal!) and am going to try to use a different media each month.
I still really want to share my Olympic sweater with the world, but alas, my computer is not only sick, I now know it needs an expensive, rare antedote. It might have the bird flu. *sigh*
