Oh, blog and fellow knitbloggers, how I've missed you! My laptop is still very sick and has recently been transferred to a, uh, more economical hospital (ie. a friend of a friend who does this sort of transplant) and I've missed it desparately. I should know something more about it's health this week, but for now, I visit the library for my blog-fix.
To catch up: I may have pulled my Kwan too soon. I received an email from hanpaintedyarn.com informing me my yarn will be shipped tomorrow, Priority. So I'm guessing it'll be here by the weekend...right before the end of the Olympics! I'm so glad I stuck with knitting this cardigan, because it has progressed like a house on fire. I knit the body up to the armpitsin4 days, knit the first sleeve in one evening, the second sleeve in a day and half and have since joined them, followed EZ's instructions for a raglan yoked sweater and am about 5 rows away from being finished. I'll have to wait for the bulky yarn to finish the collar and the sleeve cuffs, but I think that had I made a smaller sweater (it has about 1 in of ease) and narrower sleeves and not so long (I have a long torso and I wanted it to be long-ish, so it'll be about 26 inches long) I could have done the whole thing out of my original 5 skeins. I'm much happier with what I've done and how the finished sweater will fit, though, so I'm just going to have to be patient. The few days of waiting will give me time to go back to Backyard Leaves and really plan my next project (a cardi for Spunmag.com!)
I have all kinds of pictures, but the librarian is not letting me hook up my camera, so I'm off to pout now.
