This is my ideal Saturday morning: a cup of coffee, a stack of knitting books, and knitting for charity! Oh and that's my kitty Andre, sneaking up to my coffee
My chair, where I sat with the books and coffee and knitting and kitty. Truly a fantastic day.
After hours of knitting afghan squares in this sunlit chair. I met my knitting buddy Sam at the coffee shop. She knit a square too as we talked about opening our own business. We mostly talked about being scared of failing or being scared of succeeding. Both pretty scary. I wish I had more to say about that, but we're still so undecided and not quite sure we should be investing all our time and energy and money into something that might fail miserably.
Good news: We have 5 squares for the blankets I mentioned in the last post! Hurrah! I promised 10, so I'm halfway there in just 2 days. I'm going to work on my second sock today, to take a break from the squares but goal is to have all 10 by next Saturday.
A sunny Saturday

Salut!
I've always wanted to start my own business, but just don't have the resources.
Most towns/cities have a small business program through the Chamber of Commerce. Start small.... do wholesale or sell to other small stores. Start up a webpage and do business over the internet. That way you wouldn't have the hassel of keeping a store and paying rent and employees. Then, if it just takes off, perhaps you can save up a little and then get your own store. But, if you do the internet thing, you're not locked into it for the long term.
Sorry, you probably already know this stuff, but I thought I'd share. Let me know what happens!
And by the way, do you have a pattern for EASY squares for blankets/afgans? I am NOT talented in knitting, but really enjoy it during the winter months and would love to make one for family.
Merci!
