So what have I been working on? First, my favorite WIP, my Mom's sweater, which I'm officially calling: Autumn rose. The Arcunia Nature Cotton is called Red, but it is so much more, with light peaches, dark maroons, soft rose and actually RED, red red.
I knit it in the round and then, when I got to the armhole (I know there's a more technical term for this, but I can't think of it) I put half the stitches on a 'stitch holder' (actually a shorter circular needle of the same size) and knit back and forth, doing the armhole shaping. When I'm done with that, I'll do the front and then graft it together at the shoulders. Well, that is, if you think it's a good idea...I mean, I've never knit set-in sleeves, let alone designed it (thank goodness for Ann Budd's Handy Book of Patterns). So my question: can I sew in the sleeves after the shoulders are grafted? or do the sleeves go in first?
Well, that doesn't make sense...I'll have to join the shoulders, sew up the sleeves, then attach them, as tubes, to the round opening...right? Why isn't this working out in my head?
Anyhow... these are my FOs, which I haate. But I'm getting paid to knit these bookcovers and write patterns for them, and the yarn was free, so I'm trying not to growl at them.
Here's what I call The Monstrosity:
Striping Fun Fur. eh.
And this one isn't too bad, I just don't think the colors go together:
Lion Sued in Olive and Fun Fur in Rainbow:
I wish my first design for a national yarn company was something...more me...but I'm excited for the oppurtunity and I'll be posting the link once their on the website!
Oh! Update: Their happy with the patterns and are sending more yarn for some purse patterns!

You are VERY talented!!!
Once the "cold" weather comes down here and drives me indoors I hope to begin some knitting projects.
Thanks for the inspiration!
How very great is that! You may not like what you're designing, but as long as it's getting exposure, you can then desing your own thing and get the audience to look at that! Keep it up!
