I heart knitty!

Of course you already know but I must exclaim: the new Knitty is up! Now, I've never loved this site as most do, mainly because the patterns were interesting and unique, but nothing I'd ever wear. Well, I have seen some mods that turned out great. But like, the Sex and the Knitty issue? Never gonna happen.
But this issue! My roomate (well, former roomate) had a great sweater jacket that we all wore as often as possible and lately me and another roomate (Carissa's her name but I usually refer to her as my first husband, as we shared a room for 2 years and would talk about our day every night before falling asleep) have been discussing me designing one like it. And then along comes Josephine pretty much exactly what we've been trying to figure out. I'm putting this on my knitting schedule for first thing January (because I know that even if I try not to knit Christmas gifts, I will). Oh, but I won't finish it until March, and then it'll be too warm...grr..maybe I throw everything else aside, spend copious amounts of money (that I don't have) on yarn and start it immediately!
I also really like Samus and Bloom and Bubby and maybe even Lacey. Or maybe I just like the idea of Lacey, I think I don't like the ribbed sections and the way it fits...and I'd never make Samus because it's just too practical...and I haven't been very practical lately, knitting cardigans with lace and whatnot.
Oh, and the articles are fun too, especially the one about spinning. It's time I admitted to my burning desire to learn to spin. I'm going to a Wool Festival next weekend and I'm thinking I'll finally give in and by some wool and a drop spindle (I'll no doubt justify it by claiming the sheep made me do it, it looked right at me and said: Look, you just saw the wool being sheared from my back, the least you can do is take some home and make something colorful and useful out of it). If yarn in yarn stores talk to me, I don't think it'll be a stretch for the sheep itself to speak to me.

I'm thinking of going to that festival too! I just heard about it yesterday at my knitting group. Looks like some good vendors will be there and I really enjoy Yellow Springs.
