still working...

It's not that I haven't been knitting...it's that I haven't been knitting anything exciting--still working on my mom's afghan (hah! I 'gave' it to her in May!) and my first pair of socks (well, I'm just on the first sock...not the pair yet). I'm knitting the socks out of this ridiculously blue yarn I got in a Crafster yarn swap. I don't care for it..too blue. BUT it's good practice yarn...unfortunately I have 3 skeins of it! I think I'll use it for some stripey knee socks, but first I'd have to buy other colors of sock yarns...and we don't have any extra money. *sigh*
The good news--I'm not spending now because I'm going on a roadtrip with my former roomates in ONE MONTH! Al and I are starting here (southern Ohio) going to NYC in the first day (for 2 days), then Boston (2 days)to meet Rissa at airport, then final stop: Portland, Maine! I'm soo excited! I've never been to any of those cities before-woo!
Now to research yarn stores...
(if you have any suggestions, lemme hear 'em!)

Unfortunately, I'm from Louisiana, so I can't recommend much. Maybe check out Teany, if you like Tea. it's moby's tea shop in new york somewhere. A road trip sounds like a blast!
