yarn sale finds

well, I checked out the yarn sale at Lambikin's Hideway in Hamilton and found some Mango Moon recycled silk yarn. $20/skein...which is probably the most expensive yarn I've ever bought, but I justify if with these two reasons:
1. I've looked and looked for this online and never found it cheaper (once you add in shipping)
2. I've been buying cheap yarn and I recycled a sweater for 800 yds of 100% wool for just $1! If you average all my yarn out....it ends up still being pretty darn cheap!
I plan on making Unbiased from Knitty with it-Finally I'll have a knitting bag!

It's hillarious to me that you justify things the same way that I do! Buy super cheap stuff and super expensive stuff, then average it out and realize if you paid x amount for each skein it was still a good deal. I think we women have a nice talent for seeing things in positive lights. I be that silk yarn is gorgeous! A friend of mine bought some of the recycled silk sari yarn and it turned into a beautiful scarf! She did have trouble with it twisting up on her. Let me know how yours works out! (PS. I responded to your comment on my blog)
